Big 4 Nambucca Heads, NSW

From gorgeous Forster, we moved further north along the East coast to the beautiful Nambucca Heads. It screams beach, sun and relaxation and trust me when I say; we enjoyed every second of our three days in this beautiful part of Australia.

We stayed at Big4 Nambucca Heads which is a caravan park on the beach with great powered sites with many backing onto the beach. From the moment you drive in the tranquil rain forest entry, you immediately feel relaxed. We woke to the sound of waves crashing and gorgeous sights of the sun rising.

With the beach being so close, we made sure to make the most of it, taking the short walk to the beach each day. The kids swam, played in the sand and made so many great memories.

The most attractive facility of this park are their HEATED water slides. Our kids (and my other big kid, Chris) spent hours on them. They are great fun and perfect for all ages. Our three year old started out on daddy’s lap and 10 minutes later, had built up the courage to go down them by himself!

Apart from the awesome heated water slides, there are also two other pools. A heated swimming pool perfect for a winter splash plus a toddlers pool.

In addition to the parks swimming facilities, they host an outdoor camp kitchen, games (Goanna) room, jumping pillow and outdoor children’s play area. If you are travelling without a caravan they also have cute little beach shacks that are so colourful and quirky!

This park is a ‘dog friendly’ park and the beach behind the park is also an off-leash area for the puppies.

Lastly and definitely worth mentioning is the fire 🔥 pit. Our kids loved an evening beside the fire pit to keep warm once the sun went down and who wouldn’t love the extra warmth in Winter!

When we looked up what Nambucca has to offer we found a ‘Nambucket List’ and were immediately interested in the V-wall. Its a legendary break wall in Nambucca Heads where people leave holiday messages, love messages and memories in paint on the break wall rocks. Chris, Chloe, Cooper and I left our tag and the kids enjoyed painting outdoors in the sun! We cant wait to return in a few months and/or years and revisit out rock!

We thoroughly enjoyed our time in Nambucca and thanks to this trip were able to experience a piece of paradise we didn’t even know existed. Like I’m sure everyone has, we have driven past here so many times on our way to QLD stopping at the usual spots such as Coffs Harbour and had never thought to stop here at Nambucca. How that has now changed. We are in love with this little haven and will definitely be sure to come back!
